To say that our current moment is unprecedented would be an understatement. It’s impossible to think of an aspect of daily life that hasn’t changed in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. And for so many of us, those changes have created enormous uncertainty and fear – over our health, over our families, over whether we’ll be able to pay our bills.

We’re all in this together, and it will take all of us to rebuild in a way that’s more sustainable for us and for the planet. Until then, we could all use some good energy.

It’s hard. None of us have a playbook for how to deal with this situation; we’re just trying the best that we can. At Arcadia, that means going back to one of our core values: Build together.

We’ve always believed that building a clean energy future is going to take all of us, and our members come from all different backgrounds, parts of the country, and walks of life. They’re also being affected by COVID-19 in all different ways. We’re here to be energy advocates for all of them, which means making sure that no one has to worry about their power bills right now.

That’s why we’re introducing the Good Energy initiative. For the month of April, Arcadia members can use our free platform to offer help if they can, or to ask for help if they need it. Folks who want to help can add an extra contribution onto their next power bill. We’ll match every contribution dollar for dollar and distribute all of the money as bill credits for members who need help paying their utility bills. Not an Arcadia member yet? All new members that sign up this month can still participate. Simply check the availability of Arcadia in your area and after your account is set up we’ll send you an email about how to participate.

When we started Arcadia, we set out to make the energy experience better. Right now, the best way to do that is to use our platform to create community and give people the opportunity to help each other. Hopefully, we can take away just a little bit of uncertainty along the way.
