Solar meets New Jersey warehouse
A massive Amazon warehouse in Carteret, New Jersey just installed 30 acres of solar panels on its roof. Amazon just released this installation this week. It is not only one of the largest rooftop solar installations in New Jersey but in the entire country. The state of New Jersey, as well as the federal government, give tax breaks to those who install solar. The government gives these businesses tax breaks so they can afford the installations.
The Reasons for Solar Panels
The warehouse itself is over 1 million square feet and all of the solar panels are on its roof. New Jersey, as well as many coastal states across the country, have been experiencing extreme weather patterns. This is one of many reasons that the U.S. Rep. Frank Pallone Jr. of New Jersey supported the solar panel installation.
The financial incentive encourages many companies to install solar panels on their roofs. Luckily, solar panel prices are going down every month. This means, even without tax breaks, companies will be able to easily afford solar panel installations on their businesses.
